Welcome to Sebastian Alexander Photography and thank you for your interest in our company. Our process is simple... beautiful photography that is natural, beautiful, and unhindered. We try to let our photographs happen naturally, without posing our clients and or giving too much direction. We want our subjects to be natural and to exude their true personalities with minimal influence or expectations from the photographer.

Why such a different approach? We believe that memories are about so much more than just a posed photo. Posed photographs can be beautiful, but they are also about pure perfection, something that few of us truly are. It's a bit of a fantasy, something that may not necessarily be real.

We believe that many people rejoice at remembering the natural laughs, the funny faces, the silliness, and the beauty that comes with photographs that are natural and real. We do not use backdrops or artificial light for our photography. We try to limit props to only items that are loved by the person being photographed.

This approach also allows us to shoot a good number of photographs, anywhere from 60 to 200 per session. Your proofs will be available on the web on a beautiful custom web site, which you can show to your friends and family for up to a year after the session. Finally, we construct a beautiful custom magazine-style album (11 double-sided pages) filled with 30 to 40 of our favorite shots. The album is truly unforgettable.

How We Work

1. Once you are ready to schedule your photo session, please call us at 435-673-3707. We'll choose a time for your photoshoot and decide which location is right for you. Sometimes your residence is the best option, especially if you have an infant or a young child to photograph. Other times, a park setting or other location may be preferable.
2. You'll need to put down 50% of your photo session fee to reserve your date. This can be done via credit card or check. The remaining 50% will be due upon the delivery of your custom album.
3. When we meet at your photo location, we'll take a few minutes to talk about what we'll be doing for the next hour (or more, depending on the session you booked). Typically, we have one photographer who will come to your home. However, for larger photoshoots (large family portraits or big children's photo parties), a photographer and an assistant will be present.
4. For the first five minutes of the shoot, we simply play and allow you and your child or family to get comfortable in front of the camera.
5. Once your photoshoot is complete, we'll let you know when to expect your web site and proofs to be ready. You will also be notified via e-mail and/or phone when your web site and proofs are available for viewing. All proofs are available via the internet, so you don't have to go anywhere (other than your computer) to review them. If you do not have internet access, a CD-ROM will be delivered to you.
6. Once you have reviewed your proofs, you can order your prints... on-line or via telephone. We will also begin designing your custom album which will be delivered within 21 business days after your photoshoot.
